DIY: No-Fail Small Bow
I don’t know about you but when it comes to crafting, I am terrible at making bows. That is my kryptonite (besides the hot glue gun). I have tried and failed at the “fork” method, the “tie your shoe “method and the “you name it I have probably tried it” method. They were all epic fails. If there was a T.V. show for Pinterest Bow Fails then I would have been on it. Yet, I needed a way to make an easy stylish bow.
Last December on our annual craft day we were making ornaments. This is something we do along with other holiday festivities (nudge, nudge, wink wink). I wanted a bow on the top of the ornament to make it stylish, and a little girly. What is Christmas without ribbons and bows? I must of went through about three rolls of ribbon and a mess load of hot glue, (this is where I learned to use the low-temp hot glue), but I did it. I found a way to make a no-fail little bow and I want to share it with all of you. Even if you are the Olympic champion at bow making, and I know some of you are, I think you will be surprised at how easy it is. Not to mention, it makes all your projects look so professional.
For this project you will need:
- 30 inches of ribbon cut into
- 3 x 9.5 in
- 1 x 1.5 in
- Hot glue gun
- Sharp scissors
- Button for embellishment (optional)
Additionally, I created a How-To Video to make the process easier to follow along. If you have any questions, or you would like to share your bows with me please comment below.
Here is the Easy Tissue Paper Vase that I use this cute bow on.
As Always,
Happy Crafting!
